I don't like the precedent... I do think there are better platforms for people out there, but losing community always sucks and the idea that this could happen to other places is scary (especially as someone outside of the US who has no say in the matter!).

I like this about as much as I like the Australian government trying to ban all under-16s from social media e_e Do these platforms have wide-ranging detrimental effects? Sure. Is trying to solve a social problem through heavy-handed 'tech' solutions going to help? Nooooo. Also, yes. Terrible precedent.
