Turtle Stacking
Apr. 4th, 2021 10:55 pmToday I was at a pond, and in that pond was some kind of retaining wall. It was a nice day and I guess all the turtles in the pond had decided to sun themselves on the same place. I don't think I'd ever seen so many wild turtles in my life. I even saw one climb on top of these others -- the bottom one seemed a bit annoyed.

I was unaware that Yurtle the Turtle-style turtle stacking was normal turtle behavior but apparently it is? According to an article on Pet Merlin it helps them get the most out of basking space. However it looked to me like there was plenty of space, and the one climbing on top of the others was just too lazy to find its own spot...
